How to use Termy
Termy keeps your coding agent — Claude Code or Codex — in the notch of your MacBook. This guide takes about five minutes and covers everything, from your first session to dictating prompts.
In a hurry? Install Termy, open a project in Xcode or VS Code, then hover your notch. Your project is already a tab, with your agent running in it. That's the whole idea.
The five-minute version
- Open the panel. Hover the notch, click the
>_icon in the menu bar, or press ⌥`. - Pick a tab. Termy makes one for every project open in Xcode, VS Code and Cursor.
- Type your prompt. It's a real terminal running your agent in that project's folder.
- Walk away. The notch spins while it works, turns yellow when it needs you, and shows a checkmark when it's done.
- Answer from the notch. When your agent asks to run a command, Allow and Deny are right there.
